Schön, Euch gesehen zu haben!

For more than 20 years, the "Brücke"Bogeteria has been like my home. And when I sat outside in the sun with a glass of wine or a gin and tonic, it always felt like a little holiday to me. Getting to know you and chatting with you made this time special.

As a photographer, I started placing a chair on the Bogeteria's doorstep and asking you to sit down for a moment so I could take a picture of you with my camera. The Bogeteria is ideal for my style of portraits, as the natural daylight usually fell softly on your faces and the room disappeared into the darkness as a backdrop. All I had to do was develop the pictures digitally without having to edit them.

Now that the ‘Galerie Brücke’ exists, it was only natural to show selected portraits there in an exhibition. I had the portraits printed in A3 format on Museum Natural Velvet – velvety fine art cotton paper (300 g/m²). The prints turned out really great! Thanks to Fabian, Kevin and the team at the Scharlau printing company! If you're interested, take a look and, of course, if you like them, you can purchase them.

Cheers!
Michael
